How it works, start to finish.

Written for towing companies. What we check before your first job, how work reaches you, who sets the price, and exactly when the money lands.

From signing up to getting paid

Six steps. Most companies are through the first three in an afternoon, and the rest is just work.

1

Sign up your company

Company name, your name, a phone number and an email. That is the whole form, and it is free. You can do it on this site or inside the iPhone app.

The phone number you give is the one a stranded customer is handed the moment you accept their job, so use the one that gets answered.

2

Get approved

We check every company before its first job. Four documents: your IRS EIN letter, your state business registration, a certificate of liability insurance, and the owner's ID or driver's licence. You also confirm your email address and phone number.

The moment the last document is uploaded your company moves into the review queue on its own. You do not have to tell anybody you are ready.

Insurance is the one we ask an expiry date for, because dispatch stops when a certificate lapses. We would rather remind you than quietly stop sending you work.
3

Tell us what you tow, and where

Tick the equipment you actually run — light, medium or heavy duty, flatbed, wheel lift, winch recovery, lockouts, jump starts, tyres, fuel, motorcycles, EV, low clearance. Set your yard address and how far you are willing to travel.

This list is not marketing. It decides which jobs ever reach you: a semi is never offered to a company without heavy duty ticked, however close the truck is parked.

4

Jobs come to you

A customer books and pays on their phone. We work out who can actually do that job and alert everyone who fits, all at once. First company to accept gets it.

Distance is measured from where your truck actually is when your phone has reported recently, and from your yard when it has not — so a driver dropping a car sixty miles from home still hears about the job on the next street. If a phone goes quiet, we fall back to the yard. You never stop getting alerts because of it.

You control the rest: how far out, the smallest payout worth waking you for, and quiet hours in your own timezone. Off duty means we stop offering you work — you can still take a job off the board yourself.

5

Do the job

You see the price, the distance and the vehicle before you accept. Accept it and the customer gets your number and a live map of your truck coming to them.

Photograph the vehicle before it goes on the truck: four corners, the plate, the VIN, and the drop-off. It takes a minute and it is the only thing that answers a damage claim three weeks later. We will warn you if you finish without them, but we will not stop you.

Car already gone when you arrive? Take one photo of the empty space and mark it gone on arrival. You are paid for the run out.
6

Get paid

The customer's card was authorised before you ever saw the job. When you mark it complete the card is charged and your share lands in your TowSling balance. There is no invoice to send and nobody to chase.

Connect your bank once, through Stripe, and withdraw whenever your balance is $25 or more.

The money, plainly

One number, and no others.

90%

of every job is yours

We keep 10%, with a $5 minimum on very small jobs. That is the entire fee.

$0

to join, monthly, or per lead

No subscription, no per-lead charge, no sign-up cost, and nothing to cancel.

Prepaid

before you see it

Every job on your screen is already paid for. You are never carrying the customer's credit.

What you are not signing up to

  • No exclusivity. Keep your motor clubs, your police rotation and your own customers.
  • No minimum number of jobs, and no penalty for ignoring one.
  • No auction. You are never bidding against another company to go cheaper.
  • No contract to get out of. Switch yourself off duty, or delete the account, whenever you like.

What we ask of you

  • If you accept a job, turn out for it. A customer standing on a hard shoulder is counting on the ETA you gave.
  • Take the photos. They protect you far more than they protect us.
  • Keep your insurance current. We stop dispatching to a lapsed certificate.
  • Use the duty switch honestly. Being marked on duty when the truck is not available is how a customer ends up waiting for nobody.

Straight answers

The questions operators actually ask before signing up.

Do I have to take every job?

No. Ignore anything you do not want. Nothing is assigned to you and there is no score that punishes you for it.

Who sets the price?

We do, and the customer pays it before you see the job. You see exactly what the job pays you before you accept, so you are never negotiating at the roadside.

Then why do you ask for my rates?

To price your area properly. Your rates are averaged with other companies nearby and are never shown to any of them. Leave anything you do not do blank.

What if two of us accept at once?

The first one through gets it. The other is told immediately, on the spot, rather than finding out at the kerb.

What if nobody accepts a job?

It expires after about twenty minutes and the customer's card is released — they are not charged for a truck that never came. We alert again while it is still open, in case the first one was missed.

Do I need the app?

No. Everything works in a browser on a phone or a desktop. The iPhone app exists because a notification with a proper alarm tone is harder to sleep through.

How long does approval take?

A person looks at every file, so it is not instant. You can sign in, set your rates and your coverage while you wait — none of that is blocked.

Ready to see what comes through?

Signing up is free and takes about two minutes.
